The Flagstaff Oktoberfest has been a beloved fall tradition for 16 years, bringing together locals and visitors for a day filled with mountain‑town charm, family‑friendly fun, and Bavarian spirit. As we celebrate our 17th year, the festival continues to embody what makes Flagstaff special: community connection, playful energy, and a welcoming atmosphere for all ages. From the Root Beer Garden and local food vendors to live music, lawn games, and our signature fun‑spirited contests, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Beyond the beer, brats, and festivities, Oktoberfest proudly gives back — having raised over $200,000 for local charities and supporting the Debbi Grogan Memorial Fund, which helps fund local school music programs. Consistently voted one of the Top 10 Oktoberfests in Arizona, it’s more than a festival; it’s Flagstaff coming together to celebrate, support, and lift up our community year after year.

How We Give Back
Over the last 16 years, the Flagstaff Oktoberfest has proudly partnered with several local non‑profits, including the Food Bank, the Flagstaff Alpine Ski and Snowboard Team, and Feeding Northern Arizona’s Future. Most recently, we’ve teamed up with the Flagstaff Unified School District Foundation to support a cause that is deeply personal to our event.
In 2018, Debbi Grogan — founder of the Flagstaff Oktoberfest — passed away, and the Foundation created a memorial fund in her honor. Debbi believed every child should have the opportunity to learn and love music, regardless of financial barriers. The Debbi Grogan Memorial Fund carries that passion forward by helping ensure local students have access to music education.
This year marks our third year partnering with FUSDF and the Debbi Grogan Memorial Fund, and we are honored to continue supporting a mission that reflects Debbi’s heart and legacy.

It takes a dedicated team to bring Flagstaff Oktoberfest to life each year — and our volunteers are at the heart of it all. From helping guests find their way to supporting activities and keeping the day running smoothly, every role plays a part in creating a memorable experience for thousands of attendees. Volunteering is also a meaningful way to give back to the community. Many of our volunteer opportunities directly support local non-profits, school programs, and charitable initiatives connected to the festival.
